Phase 2 - Construction Restart, Including New Construction
The Swinomish Senate implemented a limited Phase 2 Construction Restart, which authorizes activity on all construction, including those activities for which social distancing may not be maintained and the start of new construction projects, is authorized and remain in compliance with the Phase 2 Construction Restart COVID-19 Job Site Requirements. The Planning Department remains closed to walk-in customers until further notice. All applications must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are unable to submit by email, you may physically mail application materials to address below. Please note mailed applications will take longer time for review. All payments be submitted by check via mail. Permits will be issued by email or paper copy if you do not have access to email to the address listed below.

We will review the applications in the order they come in. However, only complete applications will be accepted. Please make sure you have a complete application, otherwise it will not be processed. You will be contacted by our department for payment once the application is processed and ready to accept payment. Please note that review times may be significantly delayed. We are performing inspections of all projects to ensure compliance with the applicable building codes. Please note the requirements the Swinomish Senate issued regarding workplace safety: Phase 2: Restart COVID-19 Job Site Requirements, including the use of personal protection equipment, physical distancing, worker training, handwashing stations, etc. All inspections within occupied structures will be completed via FaceTime, Zoom, or equivalent. This option may also be available for other inspections, if practical.
If you received permit approvals or other related documentation electronically, please make sure that all documentation is printed out and available at the jobsite. For all projects, inspectors will not conduct inspections unless these documents are available.
