July 11, 2022 - HOMEOWNER ASSISTANCE FUNDS

Swinomish has received Homeowner Assistance Funds (HAF) as part of COVID-19 relief funding through the U.S. Department of Treasury. These funds are to assist low and very low income homeowners who have become delinquent in mortgage payments, utilities, and other home related expenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To provide feedback regarding the HAF policy, please email homes@swinomish.nsn.us. This policy is posted for feedback from July 11, 2022 to July 21, 2022 and will be submitted to Department of Treasury for review on July 22, 2022.

This is the second general permit issued by EPA for tribal enhancement marine net pen facilities in Puget Sound. Potential impact: None of the anticipated facilities eligible for coverage are in Swinomish waters. All 6 facilities are south of Everett, WA.

Anticipated decision: As an exercise of its delegated authority, Swinomish intends to deny general permit WQ certification in order to retain the ability to make an individual 401 certification decision for each proposed facility.

This proposed changes are to correct table or contents and typographical errors, correct toxics table calculation for methymercury, remove mercury human health criteria that are superceded by methylmercury criteria, clarifications to applicability of standards to designated uses tables.
